A little bit about the types of care providers we recommend

Day Care – care in your own home can typically include from one to four visits a day. These services can be provided by a care agency (a commercial business) that usually employs many carers, or otherwise a Personal Care Assistant (a self-employed carer)
Night or Day Sits – these home services are over multiple hours and can be provided by either an agency or Personal Care Assistant. Services include companionship and/or support for your health and wellbeing. Night sits are typically defined as waking or sleeping and attract different costs.
Live-in Care – provided by agencies and Personal Care Assistants and is where the carer lives in your house with you. They provide you with the peace of mind that there is always someone there to support you as and when needed.
Companionship – support for those who may be at risk of being isolated and lonely, but are still healthy and happy to remain in their own home.

Care accommodation:

Residential Homes – when you need more support day-to-day. This can be a natural next step from home care and is payable a monthly basis. Typically, social care and support is provided as part of your care package.
Nursing Homes – as your needs develop further this can be the next step from a residential home. Some homes offer both residential and nursing care services, saving the upheaval of moving homes.
